Take a look at our feed of farm equipment!

Now ➡️ Then The Beers family has seen the full evolution of the 8 metre Sabre Tine Drill. They began with the 8 metre tine drill back in 2009, followed by the first 8 metre Sabre Tine Drill rolling off the production line and onto their farm in Northamptonshire in 2015 and after 7 years of dutiful service, that Sabre was succeeded earlier this year by the new Sabre 8000M model. The original model was fitted with a steel tank and comprised of 3 rows of tines, whilst the new model has a sleeker and lighter graphite grey plastic tank, 4 rows of tines with an extended 1.2 metre calming area halfway along the tine bank between the second and third rows. “The previous model with three tine rows worked well, but the extra clearance and open design of the four-row version is an improvement, and we have seen this on both our 6m drill last autumn and the newer 8m model too. It’s easier to see all the tines, and if coulters become blocked then this is quickly noticed as seed spills out of the vents.” says Tom Beers. As well as these more obvious visual changes, the latest model benefits from additions such as side-to-side pivoting for precise contour following and hydraulic depth control all designed to make the Sabre a robust, consistent yet simple to use drill. The Beers operate the 8m Sabre drill behind a John Deere 8370RT twin-track crawler, and Tom commented that the tractor has more than enough power and handles it easily on the heavy land at speeds up to 13kph. During the short spring drilling season, average work rates of 40ha in typical eight-hour days were achieved, and up to 60ha when working days were extended and conditions were good. The Beers’ new drill is fitted with a @stocksag Turbo Jet applicator typically used for Avadex or slug pellet application. #agriculture #FarmingUK #agriculteur #Agphotography #FarmingPhotography #landwirtshaft #JohnDeere #DeereSighting #drilling #directdrills #weavingmachinery #regenerativeagriculture #agricultureUK #farming365 #farmmachinery #lowdisturbance #futurefarming #sämaschine #landtechnik #JohnDeereTractor #seeddrill
NATIONAL THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE COMPLETE ✅ It was a real battle up there but our warrior team gritted their teeth and got it done with a lot of fun and many achy knees and dodgy hips along the way. Over £7500 raised so far in aid of @fcncharity, but there is still time to donate, please click on the link in our bio. At 8am on Sunday morning, we started at Ben Nevis 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, it was a long climb and very cold and foggy on the summit, but so far so good. Everyone Summited, everyone back on the bus. Onto the Lake District… we started the climb on Scafell Pike 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 at 7.30pm. A few sore muscles and niggling injuries began to show. It wasn’t until well after dark the final team members made it back to the bus with a few VW’ing along the way. So finally onto Wales… behind time now, road closures not helping the matter. On arrival at Pen-y-pass, there was a little over 3 hours to summit Snowdon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and get back to the base. Sarie set off at a run, with the boys trailing in her wake, she summitted in 1 hr 16 minutes, returning to the bottom of the mountain just 55 minutes later. Followed a little while later by Tom and Harry. Three gallant finishers in less than 24 hours. They were bravely followed by another 7 finishers some with bandaged legs but strong spirits. It was a weary site seeing the team appear off the bus at Weaving HQ yesterday evening, but we are very proud of their efforts. Well done team and special mention to dedicated business driver Steve Draper who piloted us safely from mountain to mountain through the night. Now time to recover and think of next year’s challenge. #NationalThreePeaksChallenge #BenNevis #ScafellPike #Snowdon #Hiking #Fundraising #TeamBuilding #WeavingMachinery #HikeBritain #24HourChallenge
Wow how did we get here, only one more working week before Christmas break?! Last night we enjoyed our first Christmas Party in a while and it was a pleasure to enjoy time together outside of business. Our team feels more unified and happy than ever so a celebratory evening was definitely in order and well deserved after another incredibly busy year at Weaving Machinery. This year has seen us build more drills than ever before, whilst negotiating the Covid pandemic - supply shortage, quarantine, self isolation - we saw it all and that’s before we even mention Brexit! But we did it and that’s a true credit to our team who never stopped pushing forwards. Over the year there has been some changes and new faces including Steve Draper who joined us a Purchasing Manager and Simon Cox as Production Supervisor. Both have serious tasks on their hands moving into 2022 but we believe they are right men for the job. In the new year we are also expecting some more new faces as we bring on board a new Parts/Warehouse Manager and for the first time we will have a Service Technician dedicated to the East Anglia region. Two exciting new arrivals in our growing team. As well as personnel changes, the site is transforming once again, the old paint shop is gone and in its place, two new bake ovens and a shot-blaster will soon appear. We are replacing and extending the roof of workshop 1 to allow us to instal more overhead cranes to improve our production flow. 2022 will begin in earnest with the team presenting our biggest exhibition yet of drills, cultivators, flail mowers and more at the LAMMA Show in Birmingham. So with shows, building works on site and lots of drills already sold and booked on to the production schedule, 2022 is already shaping up to be another action packed year. So next week we just need to get through stocktake, then it’ll be time for a well earned rest, and we’ll look forward to seeing customers ans suppliers, new and old in the New Year! 🎉 #teamspirit #BritishManufacturing #Agriculture #YearReview
